LinuxIT, the leaders in Linux and Open-Source software and specialist services, have moved to new HQ offices in Bristol.
The move creates the UK’s ‘Open-Source Hub.’ A recognition of Bristol and its pivotal role in leading Open-Source adoption, the role of LinuxIT, the pioneering Open-Source policy of Bristol City Council and the relevance of Open-Source to local and regional businesses such as those in the media, technology public and private sectors.
LinuxIT provides Technology, Consultancy, Resourcing, Technology and Support. They have gained their specialist skills over the past 12 years in enterprise class and indemnified community Open–Source and Open–Standards technology. This, together with best fit proprietary technology solutions, provides a cost effective, reliable, secure and future proofed integrated IT system – a comprehensive world class service.
Artworks Solutions were brought in to ensure that their finished offices were as world class as their service.
“Communicating the LinuxIT brand was key,” explains Peter Dawes-Huish, CEO and founder of LinuxIT. “We chose Artworks Solutions because they were highly recommended to us by 3Sphere. Immediately we could see we had made the right decision: Artworks’ understanding of our brand and how important it is to us in our new journey was evident from the beginning. They were responsive, creative and helpful through every stage of the process from the initial meeting through to the installation. In addition to this, Artworks were able to provide a solution to our desk dividers when our original supplier could not”.
Artworks’ brief was to supply a complete internal and external branding package throughout LinuxIT’s new headquarters. Products included a bespoke feature wall made using CNC technology to create texture, complete with LinuxIT’s logo and finished using motivational text in aluminium. Other products supplied included a white ink and simulated frosted design for manifestations, desk dividers, acrylic internal signs with stainless steel fixings, meeting room plaques, external signage and car park signs.
Everything was designed and manufactured in house and installed by one of the Artworks installation teams.
