Landlords Gas Safety Inspections (sometimes referred to as "CP12" - after the old Corgi numbering system.  Now all gas engineers have to be registered with Gas Safe Register, and carry an identity card (with photograph) which lists on the back, what kind of appliances they are competent in - some engineers are not registered as competent in all categories, such as Cookers, Fires, Water Heaters, Boilers, etc.  There are also separate categories for LPG, commercial, etc.  - so you should check first.
