The reason the country is so popular is becasue of it's stunning local beaches, dramatic scenery with steep mountains dropping in crystal blue wateres of the Mediterranean and the fantastic value for money prices.  There are some lovely local restaurants and colourful bars and the prices are excellent.

One of the up and coming holiday resorts is Calis Beach (pronounced Chalis).  This colourful resort offers a fine beach, safe bathing and lots of bars, restaurants and shops to keep everyone entertained. 

There are also so lovely days out in the local area being situated near Fethiye and not too far from Olu Deniz which offers another stunning beach and it's famous "Blue Lagoon".   There are boat trips around the 12 Islands of Fethiye bay and excursions to Saklikent Gorge where the rushing river runs though a pretty gorge and the whole area is steeped history from Roman and Lycian times.
