General feedback tended to suggest that, although the old site contained
some useful information, it was a little awkward to navigate and did not
show their past work clearly enough. With the new site, Gowercroft insisted I adhere to website best practices by making every
page reachable through three clicks from the homepage. By utilising a
constant top-of-page navigation bar and a customised-by-page side bar,
website visitors have easy access to relevant information and a sure
path back to the main sections.
A website shouldn’t be one-way traffic; Gowercroft value the opinions
and thoughts of their customers and wanted to continue providing
information that they find useful. For example; their new integrated blog includes
case studies of completed projects, industry news, product
specifications and company updates. Gowercroft want to ensure website visitors have all the information required to make a data-informed buying decision.
