We have long experience in road transport and are ourselves
bikers who have
always ridden door-to-door no matter how long the journey
but sometimes we
have difficulty finding the time for longer trips. Often
spending valuable days
covering long distances of not particularly enjoyable
motorway riding just to
reach the area of the country we really want to tour, which
got us thinking and
the rest as they say is …….
With your bikes and kit transported safely to Spain budget
flights into either
Almeriaor Murcia can be found all year round
with free airport transfers there
is no need to worry. Accommodation will be at our 150 year
old Spanish Cortijo.
The Circuito de Almeria is a 15 minute drive from Almond Reef and has a full
calendar of track days throughout the year. The major
English organizers come
in Spring and Autumn but there are Spanish events all year
round which are
open to all, Spanish track days are great value and
generally only have 2 groups
which equals 8 x 30 minute sessions (more than enough for
the even the hardest
track riders).
Almeria circuit
is a fantastic 4.3 km flowing circuit with 8 rights and 5 lefts. It
also has 2 challenging blind right crests, you will never
get tired with this one.
We promise you will not be disappointed with an event
organized with The Reef
Riders.
Almond Reef is in
the Cariatiz valley near to Sorbas.
Our Cortijo can sleep
up to 16 guests in elegant rooms retaining the old Spanish
style, we have a
swim/spa pool for our guests to enjoy, and probably the most
important thing
a well stocked bar along with half board accommodation.
Almond Reef is
located just north of Almeria, Southern Spain
and is the perfect
place to tour. Miles of quiet mountain roads leading to
small white painted
Spanish villages to stop and enjoy some Tapas (just like the
locals). Or head
along the Lavente coast exploring many quiet coves and
beaches. The famous
city of Granada is
approximately 2 hours away, the Alhambra
Palace is well
worth a visit and a great ride to boot. Reef Riders can
provide guided tours of
the area, suggest routes or just provide a map.
